Lutterworth Sixth & Student Leadership
What does Student Leadership look like at Lutterworth Sixth?
At Lutterworth Sixth, we strive for an inclusive and responsible form of student leadership. Spearheaded by our two Head Students and our Deputy Head Student, the Student Leadership team also comprises our four House Captains (Canterbury, Lincoln, Winchester and York) and four Deputies who act as a conduit between representatives from each mentor group and the Head Students. This allows your student voice to be heard and collaboration to thrive, as part of the wider Student Parliament. As well as contributing ideas to developing the school as a whole, we want our student leaders to demonstrate initiative and to be role models for the student population across the whole school. We would also expect our Student Leadership team to lead on, and contribute to:
>House Competitions, Fundraising & Donations initiatives
>Regular Student Parliament meetings
>Sixth Form Social Events, such as the Year 13 Prom
>Talks & advice to younger students, both at Lutterworth College and other schools within the local area.
>Sixth Form and wider school assemblies
>Open Evenings, promotional and celebration events
You will have the opportunity to apply to be a member of the Student Leadership team in the Summer Term of Year 12. We also support you in seeking out other leadership opportunities; for example, students have set up both the Lutterworth Medical Society and the Diversity and Inclusion Society, which have been really successful!
