They have revamped their popular Parents’ and Carers’ Pack with a fresh new look, exciting features and lots of useful content. This is updated monthly.
Students will also have the opportunity to attend our annual Careers Fair which this year was attended byover 40 local and national employers, universities and colleges and was a fantastic opportunity for students to learn more about their options both Post 16 and Post 18. Amazing Apprenticeships hosted a talk to parents & students in our main hall, answering questions on all levels of apprenticeships from Intermediate right up to Degree level.
National Apprenticeship Week will see each year group having a bespoke assembly with guest speakers including Colas Rail, Sheffield Hallam Degree Apprenticeship Team, Oliveti, the Royal Navy Submarine Specialist Team and SMB College Apprenticeship Team.
We will also be running Apprenticeship awareness activities in the classroom.

Each of our apprentices will specialise in a pathway relevant to the depot they’re based at. The pathways available are Track, Signalling, Telecommunications, Overhead Lines, and Distribution and Plant. This could see you getting hands-on and repairing our tracks, working with high voltage systems, heights and specialist tools, repairing major signalling failures, supporting our telecommunications systems, or keeping our power flowing safely and efficiently.
You will support finance teams with forecasting, budgeting, and analysis, as well as taking the lead on meetings and reporting to senior members of the company.

Entry requirements: Engineering - You’ll need at least GCSEs in English Language and Science at Grades 9 – 4, Maths at Grade 9 – 5, and one other subject at Grades 9 – 4. Or you’ll hold an NVQ or BTEC Level 2 or above in an Engineering subject or equivalents.
IT and Business Services - You’ll need to have achieved 5 GCSEs Grade 9-5 (including Mathematics and English) and 3 A Levels which should include 1 STEM subject. (BCC or 104 UCAS points equivalent). BTEC equivalent qualifications at Distinction* are also acceptable. General Studies A Level is not accepted for this opportunity.

WHAT ARE TRAINEESHIPS?
Traineeships are a brilliant way to gain experience and confidence, helping you to take the next step into an apprenticeship, work or study.
A Traineeship is a fully-funded education and training programme for 16-24* year olds (*25 year olds with an Education, Health and Care Plan) to build employability skills and gain valuable sector-based experience through a work placement. Click on the link below for more information:-
A traineeship is an excellent way to kickstart your career. They are work-based programmes, designed to boost your knowledge, skills and experience before you take the next step into an apprenticeship or into full-time work. Traineeships can take between 6 weeks and 1 year, but most last for around 5 months.
Who can do a traineeship?
You are eligible to do a traineeship with us if you are:
Eligible to work in England
Motivated to work, but have little to no work experience
16 – 18 years old or
19 – 24 years old with an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP).
Why consider a traineeship?
By undertaking a traineeship, you will benefit by:
Receiving £40 per week for expenses
Building your CV with valuable work experience
Getting to know an employer, learning about the business / industry
Gaining confidence and work-relevant knowledge and skills
Getting support with maths and English (if needed)

We offer apprenticeships from Level 2 through to Level 6, meaning we really have something for everything. Perhaps you want to get into Customer Service – great, we have an apprenticeship for that. Level 4 Apprenticeships - £21,000
Our 18 month Level 4 Apprenticeship programme is designed to help talented people earn a full-time salary which could see them move quickly into one of a number of key roles.
There are three pathways to choose from:
Professional Accounting/Taxation Technician (BPP), where trainees get to grips with financial reporting.
Software Developer (Just IT), which will fast-track students into the software development industry and is recognised for entry onto the BCS Register of IT Technicians.
Associate Project Manager (Just IT), where apprentices learn to skilfully manage projects of all sizes and ensure their success.
Degree Apprenticeships - £23,000
Our 39-month Degree Apprenticeship programme is designed to help you work and study toward a fully funded degree at the same time. Students enrol on a part-time undergraduate Degree Apprenticeship with a reputable university.
There are three pathways to choose from:
Digital and Technology Solutions at the University of Exeter.
Data Science, in association with the University of Kent.
Economics, in association with the University of Kent's School of Economics.

Over the past few years LEBC have supported many students with their CV and assisting them with finding the perfect apprenticeship.
If you are a student leaving school this Summer who needs some guidance to secure an apprenticeship, we are happy to help you build your CV, show you where to look for positions and support you through the recruitment process. This is still a FREE service for students.
